We’d like to let all our customers know how Bartec Packaging is responding to the Coronavirus crisis. The situation is under constant review and we will keep you informed, as soon as we can, of any new developments.

As so many of our customers are food producers, we remain a key part of the food supply chain. We are currently producing materials being used by suppliers of meat, fish, dairy and other food items to retailers across the UK. With many people moving to mail order, we have also received increased orders for our protective packaging materials, such as cushion pads.

With this in mind, we feel we must continue to operate for as long as it is practical and permissible to do so.  We are keeping a keen eye on updates from the Government and we will certainly follow any recommendations which are issued therein.

As consistent holders of an AA rating from the BRC, we take hygiene and safety extremely seriously and we have put in place further measures to minimise risks on our premises. We have reorganised our factory floor in line with recommendations on social distancing and our customer services team are working remotely.  All members of staff are being given the opportunity to stay at home on furlough, but we are currently still in a position to process and despatch urgent requests as they come in.  Raw material supplies into our factory have so far been unaffected, but we will keep you informed if this situation changes.

Our staff are doing a magnificent job, for which we are very grateful, and we also appreciate the efforts of our suppliers and distribution companies. We’d also like to thank our customers for continuing to put their faith in us to deliver the materials they need, of the quality expected.

To contact us, please either telephone 01606 354664 or email sales@bartecpackaging.co.uk.

We will continue to update you as the situation develops but, in the meantime, please contact us if there is anything you require and, most of all, stay safe.
